Medical Career Academy posed as a real medical school, didn't teach the program, scammed money no education

The school promised an online course with a lab portion for clinincals to prepare you to be a phlebotomist and to get you nationally certified with NHA, National Healthcareers Association. But the online course was a joke and labs and clinicals were worse. The made you think a nurse was teaching the class, but once you have paid you then find out its just a girl who took the class a month before you, with no nursing experience or teaching experience.

After graduating the course with an A, I found myself failing the National Test due to lack of information and education provided buy the school. They give you the A's on ridiculous easy test and never teach you the real stuff you need to compete for the National Certification.

They tell you you will achieve 50-75 venipunctures during your clinincals, but they dont tell you 100 is minimum requirement for national testing centers other than NHA which is not recognized by any hospitals. Oh and you actually leave the school only aquiring 15 venipunctures.

They are quick to collect your money over the phone prior to class starting, then once you arrive you realize its not a real school but a rented room on the third floor of a business bldg. With one conference table they call a class room and broken equipment that you cant learn phlebotomy on because its non functioning.

Please beware of giving your money to this so called school - look for one that offers NCCT, ASPT or ASPC all accredited certifications.
