Though my debt is closed and my credit report states this, this company is harrassing me for the debt after 7 or so years

This company continually harrasses me with phone calls and letters about a 7 year old debt that was closed and is closed on my credit report. They tell me they will sue for the amount but will take a certain amount to close the account. They are doing illegal practices and should be stopped.
