Refuses to refund money that was prepaid

After 2 years of service and always prepaying my bill on time, I decided to switch to another carrier. I called customer service for Verizon on the day I signed up with a new carrier and requested that they stop my service they told me that they could only suspend my service because I was keeping my phone numbers.

At that time I told them that I wanted my service suspended without payment so I would get a refund for the remaining days of service that I had prepaid but would not be using, the customer service agent said I would not be charged and got off the phone. I had a feeling they were not being honest with me so I tried to go online to my account and suspend the service but they had already changed my account so I couldn't do that either. Now they say that because my service was suspended and not terminated (like I wanted in the beginning) that they don't owe me a refund.

That's An Outright LIE and Deliberate deception to steal funds that are not theirs I did not receive service for those 9 days at the end of the billing cycle and want a refund for the service that i did not use and prepaid for.

What a scam i bet they net millions a year this way!!!
