I am an individual who purchased a home in 0ct. Of 2003.3 mo. S after the purchase of my 8yr old home I had a leak in the living room 1st story ceiling of my two story home.

I contacted american home shield and they sent out a plumber. The plumber said it looked as though I had electrolysis in the copper piping fresh water lines. American homeshield said they don't cover that because they said electrolysis is due to a faulty previous repair! They then stated I was not covered for that type of repair.

7 months into my homeownership another water leak in the ceiling appeared and I contacted american homeshield they sent out a plumbing co. Who said the leak was in a place they couldn't get to and in order to locate the leak they would have to go into the back of my sink cabinet to get into the wall. American homeshield said they can't or won't authorize access because the plumber will cut have to cut though wood and they don't authorize that either only sheetrock entries.

It seems as though they have plenty of excuses as to why they can't help rather than help!!!
