Long Distance Bill of $39.89 for Call to Unknown Number

I have recently received a bill from Telecom USA a Verizon company. They said "I owe them $39.89 for a call I had made to somewhere I know no-one and never have been. They say its for a long distance call. Well hate to break the news but I get free long distance, and I have not had a Verizon phone bill. The account I use to have from Verizon has been long closed. I have no idea what this about. I began looking the company up on and found some similar scams. I'AM calling them to tell them I will not be paying for something I have not used and that I have contacted the F.C. T and had them reported. If they have a problem they can speak to my lawyer.
