I have contacted an attorney so far. Here is what else I have done in response to our fiasco. I contacted the FCC at 888-225-5322, the public service commission at 800-342-3552 I am also contacting the State Attorney General for Florida where I am located. My first discussion with our attorney over the phone before any paperwork was filed or shown to him he suggested filing a small claims court suit against ILC, which is the company who holds our lease now. They are located in Ohio.
This might make it very expensive to defend a suit here in FL. I am not sure if this will work as the contract specifies where suit will be moved to but I might try it anyway. He suggested filing suit after every payment is made. This might eventually cost more money than it is worth to collect payments. I will have to meet with him to review the documents prior to exploring this avenue but it did make sense. However I wish to be included in any action or to share information with any party here who is in a similar situation which seems to be most of us. I can be reached at 786-547-4722 which is my cell phone and my name is Marshall.
I have looked at the TAA site which is offering assistance with a Legal CO-OP. I am so leery to trust anyone at this point however. I have left three messages for Dan Brown and have yet to hear back from him at all. That is a disturbiing sign for me. I will give him the benefit of the doubt on that but I would like to know how many people are part of the Co-Op before I give them any money. I wish us all the best of luck.
