Rip-off tricked us contracted for equipment then bankrupted

Promised 20 - 50% savings combining phone and internet service with a magic box. Had to sign up for five years. Did not realize contract was for payment to a finance company that had paid off Norvergence, which went bankrupt after 1 1/2 years and left us to pay the finance company for another 3 1/2 years while having no service contracted for. Postings on the Internet indicate the magic box was only worth a few dollars.

Norvergence' owner had, as a consultant, a brother that was forbidden by the state of New Jersey to engage in any communications type business because of prior criminal operations, yet had an office at the same address, according to information on the Internet.

I have involved the Illinois States Attorneys office in this matter and would like to hear from any other companies in Illinois that have been scammed by Norvergence' Illinois office in Oak Brook, Perhaps a Class Action suit is in order. How many others in Illinois have been scammed? Contact the Illinois States Attorney's office in Chicago!
