My credit card limit was recently decreased and upon inquiring as to why I was told it was due to my credit report. I was also told my score was 684 which I though was pretty good. I then followed the instructions on the letter from American Express for my credit report which took me Experian. I signed up for my credit report for a fee of. 99. Little did I know that I was signing up for a membership and that would charge my credit card almost $18 in 7 days. When I contacted them about it they refused to issue a refund because they claim that I agreed to the terms and conditions which required me to cancel within 7 days. Not only is this in the fine print, it was very uncear that you are signing up for a membership. You think you are signing up for a one time credit report for. 99. This is robbery to charge your credit card without your knowledge and approval. There should be laws against this deception!
