Marcin Sikora, owner does not pay, takes unauthorized deductions, lies, bully, blame game

Marcin, the owner of MSCarriers, LLC, only hires people for a couple of months unless you're willing to run illegally. As long as you run illegally, over hours, over weight, over speed limit and you don't care about getting ticketed and pay your own tickets, he may keep you longer.

One thing he makes you do is sign an "Independent Contractor's" contract.in reality, unless you're using your own truck, you are actually his employee. You can check with the U.S. Department Of Labor which handles OTR driver wage disputes. Your state Department of Labor probably has a similar statute.

It is also illegal for an employer to take deductions unless those deductions were agreed on by the employee PRIOR to the deduction being taken, usually at the time of hiring. Marcin will use bullying to get you to do what he wants you to do, like accepting deductions from your last pay and other tickets you may have gotten and expected him to pay for you to get you out of a weigh station.

In the 3 months I worked for him, he went through 5 or 6 other employees and didn't call me back to work because I refused to drive a trailer that had to have the rear doors tied together to keep them closed. He didn't care that the trailer wouldn't pass inspection at a weigh station. He ordered me to use it anyway.

It is YOUR license that you are risking. Don't work for this person/company unless you are aware of the risk.
