Norvergence IS out of business! I know because I was "laid off" along with the rest of the employees nationwide. However, we in the sales offices across the US did not get a call from our corporate office letting us know what was going on - we heard rumors and started calling our bosses asking what was going on. We were told the company had filed bankruptcy, the corporate employees were being escorted out of the building and that we should pack up and leave because we no longer had jobs.

We were supposed to be paid our regular checks on Friday, 7/2 - no one was paid. We were told someone from HR would contact us about our pay the day after the closing - no one was contacted. We don't have insurance, we don't have our paychecks, and most people on't even have the money from their previous paycheck because it bounced and they never received a make-up check OR the make-up check they received ALSO bounced.

Cash flow issues? How is this possible when the banks were fronting to Norvergence the entire five year lease amount for each customer's lease? Norvergence was getting all their money UP FRONT!

How can any former employee be optimistic when all the company has told us has been lies? There are hundreds of us across the country who can't pay our bills because Norvergence owes us thousands of dollars each. We have no health insurance, no COBRA benefits and IF we ever see the money we are owed, it will be MONTHS because of the bankruptcy proceedings. Furthermore, criminal charges are pending and the company is being investigated by several government agencies.

I for one feel like a victim. And I feel genuinely sorry for the customers because their problems are a hundred times worse.
