Rapid Refund Tax Scam Ripoff

LBS Tax Services, 1545 NW 119th St Miami, FL 33167 offers '24' hour tax refunds on signs all over town, and corroborates it over the phone. They tell you it is not a loan, that they have a "hook-up" with a bank (whatever that means).

What it really means is simply this: They file you electronically (like anyone else could do - or you could do yourself) and then take 'fees' of almost $100 a PAGE!!! The refund goes to THEM and NOT YOU and they direct deposit it into your bank after taking out their exorbitant fees!

By page, they mean the IRS forms they file! What nerve!!! They tell you that the regular return is only $75.00, but if they have to file other forms to "maximize your refund" their 'system' charges for it. That's where the ripoff is. And, by the way, you do NOT get the refund in 24 - 48 hours. Because I needed my refund so badly (times are so hard) I believed their nonsense and I lost $750 to them, and don't want to see it happen to anybody else.

I will be writing to my elected representatives, both state & federal, as well as the attorneys general, both state and federal. I will go after LBS in small claims court to attempt to recover this money, but meanwhile I will try to let as many people as possible know NOT TO USE THE SERVICES OF LBS TAX SERVICES, 1545 NW 119th ST, MIAMI, FL 33167
