Ordered a set of Irish Bagpipes for $1,111 from their web site where the stated delivery time was 10-16 weeks. Nearly 40 weeks later I asked for an update and was told that there were unexpected backorders and a depression in Ireland. More months go by and when I ask again they say I am number 1 on the list and they are working with the maker to try and get a date. More time goes by and I ask again and they say they expected them last month.
Finally I contact the maker in Ireland directly and ask what would the wait time be if I ordered a set of bagpipes from him and what type of backlog there was. He replays 3 months. I wait another 3 months and at the year and a half mark I ask for my money back and include the emails I had from the maker. CelticRenaissanceMusic.com refuses as it is not their policy to give a refund on 'special orders' and still does not give a delivery date.
