International Society Of Poets Aka Poetry ripoff con artists

My daughter entered her poem on-line and was happy and excited to recieve notification that her poem was selected to appear in the next poetry book release (not yet titled). However, the limited her poem and cut it off after a specific number of lines stating "there was a character limit". My daughter, being a true artist, refused permission for her poem to appear in the book if it could not be published in it's entirity.

She continued to receive requests to buy the book her poem would be published in and has ignored all requests. Recently, they sent an email advising her that she may be the $20,000.00 winner. But, needs to attend a symposiam costing almost 1800.00 (she is a minor and would require an adult to attend too).

I decided to do some checking on this company and was surprised to find so many rip off reports. I am happy for those reports as it helps to solidify what I had thought about this company: Con Artisits - praying on children - what a shame.

How can celebrities as Willie Nelson, Florence Henderson, Oak Ridge Boys, etc. Lend their name to this organization?

The next symposium is to take place this summer and the Marriott has a block of rooms... Has anyone ever shown up to this conference? Does it exsist? Glad we did not buy any books that we would not have received.
