Telemarketer fake order, high pressure, threats, target business with multiple decision makers ripoff Internet

Mayrand telemarketer will call and ask information about the company, who makes decisions on purchases, ect, and ask about updating free listing. Then they contact someone at the company that they learned about from the first call, and tell them that the book is ready to ship and confirm the address.

They hope that with several decision makers in a business, that whoever is on the phone will approve the address, then they ship you a book and a bill for a few hundred dollars.

I know several companies who have been cheated this way, including our company. If they get you for the first one, they call back later, saying the second volume of the book is ready, and it will ship to the same address.

If you try to refuse, they offer to send a bill for the listing that is almost as much as the book, but they demand that you pay at least for the "free" listing, swearing the volume completes the "contract". But they call back for the third volume, and so on, as long as they can get you to pay for the book.

It is a high pressure tactic, where they tell you that it is a "contract" already made that they are just filling, and that you are "obligated" to pay for the listing, and they push the book.

Even if you say no, they send the bill anyway. Don't say yes to anything when they call, not even if the weather is nice. Or you get a book and a bill.
