In October, after receiving much positive feedback from patients, I decided to schedule an initial consultation. Everything seemed fine, except that I felt quite pressured to sign up immediately. I even had my fiance drive all the way to the office after they had closed (we were the only ones still there with the consultant) to discuss the options. It was a Tuesday. She scheduled me for a procedure that Friday and stated multiple times that since we had chosen to go with the no interest 12 month plan, we could cancel at any time before the procedure.

Long story short, I cancel Thursday (2 days later) after deciding to keep trying to lose the weight before going into debt $7,000. She then tells me that it will take 4-6 weeks to get the charge off the Care Credit account and that she would forward the matter to corporate. I asked why the procedure had been charged for when I hadn't had anything done and she said she charged Care Credit the day I scheduled to procedure (Tuesday)!!

So let me get this straight... I get charged for something before I even receive any services?! We later learn that my fiance, who had discussed cosigning but NEVER SIGNED ANYTHING, is the ONLY ONE obligated to the account! I am not even on the Care Credit account! We were told he would need to cosign for us to have the account, but we figured we would take care of everything the day of the surgery. He never signed anything authorizing them to open an account that day (or ever)!! Now he has a sole account in his name and he never even sought services!

I was told by Sonobello that during the 4-6 weeks, to make sure and pay "my" bill (as if I were the one supposed to be on the account) and it would be credited back (yeah right)! There was no way I was going to pay a bill for a service I never used! Now it's hurting my fiance's credit score and it's been 3 months since the consultant "referred the matter to corporate"!! When I call, she explains that once it's with corporate, it's "out of her hands." I ask for a number to call corporate and I am told they deal with the consultants directly (how convenient!). I called again today and she said corporate runs on east coast time and it's closed so she'd "call me back tomorrow" (yeah right - same song and dance for 3 months). Meanwhile, my fiance's credit is being destroyed and his credit lines tied up.

The fact that we are going through this while mess because of an initial consultation is mind-boggling!!! This "Free Consultation" was anything but!!!

What a joke! I have tried for 1 1/2 mo. To get a refund. They sure can charge you IMMEDIATELY but after 4 calls they still can't refund me $89.31. I got the trail & the next day my account was charged $89.31
