Cirmumventing Do Not Call list

I have had no business dealings with this company, so I cannot judge whether or not they offer a good service. However, one of their sales reps called me to offer resume and career consulting services. She stated that she was responsing to a request I made through careerbuilder.com for a free resume evaluation. I told her I made no such request. Her response was that Barton Industries is in a partnership with careerbuilder and that I "must have clicked on something". I told her I didn't think so and she apologized for the call and hung up.

I called careerbuilder and they told me they never heard of Barton Industries. My assumption is that this company is scrubbing the job search sites for people to call to offer their services.By stating that I requested a resume evaluation they are trying to circumvent the do not call list.
OK, so maybe I'm making a mountain out of a molehill. I just want to caution people because there have been numerous complaints against similar companies (Bernard Haldane, McKenzie Scott) that charge thousands of dollars for entry into the "hidden job market". Barton Industries makes similar claims.
