Ripoff bogus call You responded to our add on the internet

What a scam... I posted my resume on Careerbuilder.com and Monster.com. My resume includes my home address/phone/e-mail in the hopes that a potential employer would call.

Friday I came home to 2 messages on my answering machine from "Mike Stevens" of Barton Industries claiming that he is calling because I responded to their ad on the internet.

After playing the first message I thought "Barton Industries??? I don't recall applying for a position with them".

Then I played the second message and wouldn't you know... It was the same "canned" message. No use of my name which raised my guard after palying the first message.

So I called and yep... They want $ to help find me a job. Even worse, "Mike Stevens at x301" was unavailable so they routed me to some flunky telemarketer. No doubt that this company is "sucking" phone numbers from resumes (like mine) posted on job boards and bypassing the national "do not call list". Cut throat telemarketing at it's worst. Stay away from barton industries!!
