Damin merin refuse to pay me for my work i did

Damen hired me a month ago, i knew him previously so i wasn tto nervous to start. I worked for a month and he kept telling me"we need to get your paper work done so i can pay you" and then would always come up with an excuse to not meet up. I have called, texed, emailed and facebooked to contact him. I am a single mom, about to be evicted and unable to have a christmas for my kids because of this, now i am jobless once again. I have filed with the state already but that doesnt put presents under the tree in 2 weeks. I trusted him, oftern talked about our faith in God and i often thanked him for giving me that job. If he will take advantage of me he will to anyone. Id love to do cleaning too if you need any.
