Consumer gas cooperative
Forced it's customers to become "members" o this private gas co, then charges huge fees, demands a 300.00 deposit which they don't return

Consumer Gas Cooperative is a private gas company who has evidently taken over part of columbia gas's customer base. CGC makes you become a "member", charges you 70.00 to become a member, then charges you a 300.00 deposit even though you've had gas with other companies in this county. They claim this 300.00 will be returned after 1 year but they do not return the money.

When i call, they tell me it will be another 90 days even though it's been almost 15 months since i paid my deposit. I've emailed the president, vice president, i've reported them to everyplace i can think of. They do not even return my calls or emails.

These nasty people have a monopoly on the gas service so you have no choice but to get service from them or go without heat.

I hate being forced to do business with a company, especially one that treats it's customers like crap because they have no where else to go.
