There is something fishy going on in Garland.

85% of Texas has deregulated, and you can choose any provider you want for electricity.

Except garland!!!

Garland has not allowed competition to come in, and they are very rude at the utility company. First, my neighbors say that they have the highest utility rate in the nation because they have NOT deregulated. Second, they make you file as "rental" property if you have anyone living in your home that is NOT the owner... They will charge you an additional deposit if you dont get a Texas Drivers License, even if Texas is not your perm residence like your a second class citizen if you are form another state.

It's a nightmare trying to deal with them, too. They are rude. Will not let you speak to a supervisor, and will just hang up on you when you ask to speak to a supervisor.

I was told at leat three times now that no supervisors are on duty. I asked if there was anyone there that can help me with an issue but told no supervisors are available to speak with me. They have no supervision and can say what ever thay want to you on the phone, even hang up on you, and no one can do anything about it.
