Michael Duarte hired my firm to deliver a marketing piece for his client. He was paid the full amount from the client, and only paid half of our contracted amount. He spent the rest of our amount and said he didn't have the funds to pay us due to financial stress. Even though we delivered additional elements of the project for no charge, and incurred out of pocket rush fees to meet an aggressive timeline, he has made no effort to pay a dime toward the owed balance for two years. Consultants and freelancers beware!
