I signed with for wireless services with MCI in June. A few weeks after activation, I get a notice from them stating that they are currently updating their billing system and to be patient, I will be getting my first statement in the mail shortly. I get several of these notices in matter of 2 months.

I finally get a bill and it's for an outrageous $300 dollars. The statement is dated for billing cycle of 08/18/01 to 09/17/01. Not understanding why the bill is so big and what happened to my June and July statement, I call customer service to request for a duplicate. He said it should take 7-10 business days. Two weeks comes by, I don't get my copies so I tried calling them. Being on hold for over 45 minutes, I get this VERY RUDE representative who would not listen to me. I was afraid that my service would be cut off so I requested to pay my balance first. He suggested that I pay via credit card because it is faster. Therefore, I give him my card # and he gave me a confirmation of payment. Two days later, my service gets cut off. Therefore, I call back to complain and was on hold for another 45 minutes. A manager was nice enough to reactivate my service. Another couple of weeks roll around and I get my Sept. Statement (bear in mind that it's not November, their billing is very behind). The balance is a wooping $400 dollars. I call my credit card company to verify that MCI in deed charged me for the payment. I call back and again being on hold for over 40 minutes, I get another RUDE representative who would not help. He tells me that he is unable to track my payment, I needed a copy of my credit card statement. Telling him that I needed to wait a month before I get it, he would not help and when I asked to speak with a manager, he said no manager was around and that he would request for one to call me. No manager ever called me except for the collections dept. They sent me delinquent notices in the mail every day and called me every day. Everyone there gives me the run around. They need to educate their employees about customer service.

I am so furious with them. They treat me like a bad customer. I would NOT RECOMMEND doing business with them. The customer service and wireless service at AT&T, Voicestream, Sprint, and Verizon is soooooo much better. I would look into those companies rather than MCI. To this day, my situation has not been resolved yet and I am still getting calls.
