Douglas Livingston, Hillary Livingston, John Ostendorf, and Barclay Mavis ran Homeco Unlimited this way. First they hooked me with a low bid, then Hillary Parnes Livingston told me they'd complete the remodeling in a few weeks.
But after they got the money, they didn't do anything. When they got a lot of lawsuits, they went bankrupt and started advertising as Home Team Advantage.
They'll tell you they've been in business for 4 or 5 years but that's not right. Home Team Advantage didn't start until March.
You have to be wary when a company bids low and says they'll do the work quick. Get it in writing. If they won't agree to, then run.
