American Water, Arizona Water Crooks and the largest Privatized Rip Off company out there!

Ok, Where to begin with this company, Rip Off! Me and my family were going on vacation, we would be gone one week, we called Arizona American Water to find out what the bill would be, and how much to pay before we left. They told us your bill was $80. (still high for having no grass, and always told our consumption is lower than everyone else in the neighborhood?) anyway, we paid the $80.By the time we came back from vacation, our water was turned off! We called and were told their was $5. That were not paid from the $80. It should of been $85., so we would have to pay $30. Plus the wopping $5. Reconnect fee! ($35 total),

Two of our neighbors said they were turned off for owing $2-$3 dollars before. WOW! The company never heard of putting that on the next bill? Since then we have found out this is a normal practice from this company from 25 others we had spoke to, and it gets better, every time we go to the grocery store, clothing store or wherever else, we notice at times many others talking about this company and their shut off fees, and the same $30. Reconnect fees! As if its not bad enough this company over charges everyone for the service, but their trucks drive around like Vultures hawking every box like slot machines (Cha Ching!), to turn off and grab their weekly / monthly Bonus fees!

We also found out from several others that if you allow them to automatically with draw from your account like they want everyone to do, your bill could even be higher than it normally should is, do to they feel they can! Me and my family do travel several times per year, and notice our bill does not change much from if were gone to if were home? (explain that one? They couldnt?) We requested our meter to be checked, they wanted to charge for that service, but as expected, nothings ever wrong on their end??? Since then we have had our water shut off a dozen times on the day it is do mainly early in the morning when no one is up, or when they can slide in and out fast enough when they think no one is home!

This is one of the biggest scamming Crooked companies We have ever seen and have been hearing from many, Not to mention the most ignorant people if you call and speak to one of their so called customer service reps! If you do the math, $30 reconnect x how many thousands of people per week they do this to? Nice chunk of extra change their racking in per year! Our next step is to follow through with the attorney General which we are sure they are aware of this for we are not the first that feels this company should be heavily investigated! If you have this ignorant no respect for the consumers company, then you know what were saying!!! Good Luck..
