Order placed, credit card charged, order never sent but they kept the money

I placed my order at www.eurofoodmart.com for some import groceries. I got a confirmation email that my order was processed. My credit card got charged right away and i waited for my order to be delivered.

After the proposed shipping time of 5 or so days i was wondering where my order was. So i tried to conatct seller by email asking for a tracking number or if i should just wait a few more days. That inquiry was ignored.

2 weeks after order i emailed them again in big red font asking where my order was. Then they replied saying that oh "one of the items is out of stock but should arrive shortly". Really? You tell me the order is processed and then you don't even have everything in stock? (needless to mention it was showing in stock on the website when i placed the order). How about a quick email saying the order was delayed?

So they charge the credit card, knowing that items are out of stock, and then not sending out the order for weeks? That is bad business. And not the end of their bad business practice!

I then canceled the order and requested that they immediately reimburse my credit card (this is now three weeks after initial order date). They confirmed cancelation of order (not right away, i had to request that with yet another email) but never really responded to the reimbursement request.

The credit card was not reimbursed per my request. Another maybe 10 days after i had no reimbursement showing on my credit card i emailed them AGAIN asking where my money is. Oh they responded that "the check for reimbursement was sent out a few days ago". I guess that's how they handle reimbursements? Could be, who knows. Let's wait a couple of days and see if it will end up in my mail box.

Not a big surprise, there was no check in the mail for another week. I emailed them again, and oh "there was a delay, the check should be in the mail shortly". Now this is when i lost any doubt that they are just lying and trying to BS me. (how could there be a delay if you tell me that the check was already sent out???) RIDICULOUS

In the end i contacted my credit card company and had them cancel the transaction. Thank goodness you can do that.

Did i mention that last email when they said the check should arrive shortly was sent 12 days ago from today? So yeah, yet another lie.

I just wish there was a way to prosecute them or hold them accountable somehow. But then again my order was "just" over $50 and i doubt this is worth it to go to court for. At least hopefully many people will read this and stay away from www.eurofoodmart.com. My worst online shopping experience ever.
