Total scam - please do not use this company!

I have had the recent unfortunate experience of being ripped off by Flat Rate Movers LLC, located in Doraville, Georgia. Flat Rate Movers LLC acted unethically and potentially illegally during the course of my scheduled move from Atlanta to St Louis.

On May 16 I received an emailed quote from Flat Rate movers LLC that claimed services included: Free wrapping of large furniture items with thick furniture padding. On May 28th, I received a quote from Seth Greene at Flat Rate Movers LLC and I explicitly explicitly asked him what the guaranteed drop off date would be. He told me that they would be able to tell me the exact date of the delivery 2 weeks prior to my move. On June 2nd, I received and signed an order of service. On July 20th, Seth told me that my stuff would be delivered to St. Louis between 8 and 10am on Thursday, August 4th. When the movers showed up on July 29th to pick my stuff up, they charged me $182 for wrapping my furniture and refused to take the charge off my bill despite their contract. The mover also had me sign multiple documents which I had not seen before and was aggressive in pressuring me to sign quickly. On one of the contracts, I noticed that there was a 2-15 day window on when my stuff would arrive. I told the mover that I had been told a specific delivery day and was told that the clause did not apply to me since we had an agreed upon delivery date. Needless to say, my stuff WAS NOT DELIVERED on the day it was promised and I was left in St Louis for 2 weeks without any belongings. After numerous attempts to contact someone at Flat Rate Movers LLC, I was finally able to get in touch with their dispatcher, Adam, who informed me that my stuff "could arrive anytime in the next 10 days".

It was almost impossible to get anyone one the phone at Flat Rate Movers LLC.in fact, they were clearly screening calls from my cell phone, which they had on file. When I would call from an alternate number, they would answer promptly but were rude and unhelpful.

I was told multiple lies about what happened to my stuff - Flat Rate Movers LLC told me my stuff had been taken to Chicago, never left Atlanta, and was on a broken down truck in Kentucky all within a 24 hour period!!! My belongings finally arrived in St Louis 2 WEEKS AFTER THE GUARANTEED DATE and the movers tried to demand additional money for the stairs in the apartment even though this had been explicitly agreed upon when I contracted with them.

Please do not be fooled! Do not use flat rate movers llc of doraville, ga. My move was very expensive and stressful and i do not want anyone else to have the horrible experience i have had.
