Fraudulent Price System... Quote One Price & Spring Huge Price Increase After the Fact

I went to Salon Couvie, for the first time, in July for a haircut. I was discussing hair coloring with the stylist while I was there. She told me the coloring would cost $55. That seemed reasonable, so I scheduled an appointment for the color, with the same stylist for the next week.
The stylist spent three hours to do a simple, all-over color. When I was ready to pay, the stylist was occupied by the phone ringing, so a different employee rang me up.
I expected the total to be $55, as I was quoted in store a week earlier. Imagine my surprise when I was told the total was $78!
I asked the employee why the drastic price change. I was told the extra money was a blow-drying fee! No one told me about this, there was no mention of this on their website.
My husband and I sent the manager an email, complaining. She refused to fix the error and denied that an error had occurred in the first place. Then she proceeded to insult my intelligence, by lecturing me on Aveda prices, as if I've never used an Aveda salon before.
Had manager, Judy acknowledged in any way they someone in her salon screwed up, or offered a refund just for the difference I was blindsighted by, I would have let it go. But Judy's response is clear she is only worried about her bottom line, and to hell with building a happy and repeat clientele.
I don't know if Salon Couvie's problem is bad management, bad communication, disorganization, or if they are flat out running a scam. BEWARE before thinking about making an appointment for anything with Salon Couvie. You WILL pay more than they lead you to believe. And, when you call them on it, the most you will get is an offer to comp you a blow-dry. Like we can't blow-dry our own hair.
