Staples Inc
Office Supply Staples copy center destroyed my diplomas and lied to me regarding the damage

Shops, Products, Services

Hi, this is a complaint filed on 7/16, this complaint is regarding your copy center in 1631 wesel blvd.,
hagerstown, md 21740, that destroyed two of my three diplomas during lamination process, after the destruction of my diplomas your on (7/8) site manager Candace after seeing the damage told me she is able to help me with by
paying for my replacement documents cost, it took me a week to get the replacement form filed out from my school
for diplomas reprints. When I took the two forms for diploma reprint to your on site manager Lorie DiGiacinto (Easy
Tech Expert) a week after, she denied that her employees has ever done the damage purposefully, instead she blamed me for bringing the document for them to laminate saying that my diploma paper is too big (its only ~12x17 inches),
and she bluntly lied to me saying that her employee told me that those documents are too large and paper too fragile for lamination and that it was my fault for request it to be done!?

For a fact, Ms. DiGiacinto never seen my damaged diploma and that paper is a high graded paper that is twice as thick as regular printing paper, it is a paper that is designed for long term safe keeping not some junk paper that my school printed on. You can find out more facts about my school at testudo. Umd. Edu, all three of my diplomas are from University of Maryland's school, and somehow the first diploma on the lamination process turned out very well and second and third
about have their corners cringed (one of them more than 3 inches) thus damaging its image as a license status in my office.

The paper's width is approximately the same as regular paper, only its length is longer than regular paper, if Ms. DiGiacinto has known that laying the paper width wise will result in laminating a perfect document, instead she choose to lie about paper being too big for lamination and that I was warned about paper being too big, the fact is I was NEVER told that diploma will be too big for lamination, the copycenter employee only told me about the chance of ink on diploma getting smudged during heating process, I have done many laminations before, some are photos and others are professional licenses at the copy center, and with the ink on my diploma I know it will not get smudge during lamination process and it never did, the ink on the paper was exactly the same after lamination, after the first document, she went on to do the second and third diplomas, the 2nd and 3rd diplomas was damaged during the paper feeding process, due to the fact that she mishandled the document during feeding process and was busy talking with her workmates at the copy desk, the 2nd document was cringed at the corner, but the 3rd document was cringed at the corner for more than 3 inches into the document. So instead now she lies to her manager saying that I was warned of paper being too big for lamination when I NEVER WAS told.

This is a total lie, either your employees at the copy center is lying or your manager Ms. DiGiacinto are lying to get out of their faults. I still have the damaged documents with me, at this point I am writing to you in regards to my
reimbursement for the cost of replacing two documents, each diploma cost $25 for replacement. At this point, I will
not stop my complaint until I get my reimbursement from staples copy center, this post will be post on consumer complaints websites to let people know that you guys are such liars!

There are no receipts for this order due to the fact that your first manager Candace told me she will take responsibility for her employees and that I will get a reimbursement for damaged documents, if I would have known that you guys are such of liars I would have asked for order receipt as a record.
