Quoted $330 to fix refigerator when all it needed was to be turned off for 24 hours

I called Reliable Service Company to check my refigerator. I moved it from the garage where it was working to the house but the refigerator part wasn't getting cold.

A service man came out and told me that the damper and drainage parts needed to be replaced. He would call me with a price. This was Friday and I finally reached him on late Monday morning after several tries.

He quoted me $330. I found out later that all I had to do was turn the refigerator off for 24 hours and it works fine. I called the service manager and he said that in the future they would tell this information to clients but this would do be no good after spending $50 service charge.
