Island ink tattoo co looked like it was carved in with a dull rusty nail. Terrible

I recently visited island ink tattoo in Paia to get a tattoo in memorial of my grandmother that had passed. I brought in several pictures of her and the artist chose one that he thought would "tattoo well". After the consultation I looked through his books at some portraits he had in there and at that time I was a little hesitant but he assured me that the ones in the book were very old pictures and he did this sort of thing all the time. Well he was very convincing so I went ahead and got the tattoo. It was on my back so I didn't see anything till it was all finished. Thats when I started crying... For a moment he thought they were tears of joy and that I was so touched to have a portrait of my dead grandmother. That couldn't be anything further from the emotion I felt. The tattoo was so terrible I could not believe I know had a portrait of some old retarded looking lady on my back that looked nothing like my grandmother. I was so mad and embarrassed I didn't want any to see it. Shame on you Chris I don't care how long you've been tattooing or how confident you are. YOU SUCK and should stop tattooing before you permanently disfigure anyone else.
