I have purchased about $1000 worth of goods from GearXS over the past year without incident. A store that satisfies your need nearly always receives a good review or rating. The straw that breaks the camels back is customer service. I ordered a disk drive which arrived DOA. I paid about $46 which was $9 less than my local store. GearXS allowed me to return the drive for replacement. To meet their requirements it cost $18 to return the drive. My outlay has now reached $64 for a $55 (locally) drive. But the replacement drive also arrived DOA and it was refurbished. I DO NOT buy refurbished disk drives so they failed to meet their obligation to replace mine with a like drive. Their Customer Service rep Kim was an absolute b*tch to deal with insisting their policy is to replace the drive once I again request RMA and spend another $18 to return the second drive. So much for thinking I might have been a good customer. $82 for drive that has now dropped to $45 locally is ridiculous considering their behavior and attitude indicates I may never get a good drive from them. Kim left me believing I could expect them to simply send me the same failed drive over and over until I give up. So I gave up cutting my loss at $64. If you find you must buy from them (and I urge you to find other options) NEVER expect help from their customer service. Also, never buy one of their Mystery Boxes. You will receive pure trash that they couldn't sell that adds up to the retail value that you paid. On that one they only fooled me once. But a leopard doesn't change its spots and they found a second way to fool me.
