Cross Country Home Services Denied a Claim after Approving It

I called the home shield company because I had a leak in my kitchen. I had my neighbor (a plumber) tell me it was the hose bib They told me it was covered under my policy. They chose the plumber, where the plumber could buy parts and then denied the claim when the plumber filed the report. I would have chosen a local plumber, bought the parts at Lowes and had it fixed much cheaper. The plumbers did an excellent job but I am out the $38 a month for the premium and also the cost to repair $250.00. Their reason - they don't cover outside pipes (well the plumbers did all of their repairs inside my kitchen. I cancelled my policy and purchased another from I hope will be a reputable company. What a ripoff.
