Purchase O'Douls - O'Douls

I went to the Target Superstore and purchased a six pack of Non-Alcoholic O'Douls but they would not let me purchase it because I left my wallet in the car and they had to see my I.D. I pointed out that I am 62 years old and the product is not covered by alcohol laws because it is a non-taxable food product and is non-alcoholic. They explained that it was the law and store policy and I explained my car was 300 yards away and I have a bad knee. I also explained that there is no such law in Florida and that no one else, ever, anywhere had ever asked for I.D. To purchase O'Douls though I have been buying it for years. The manager came to mediate the problem and his answer was for me to take my business to a store that would sell me O'Douls without a Driver's License. This behavior is nonsensical in the extreme. Could someone straighten them out as to what the law is and not treat a regular buying customer so poorly? The store in question is at 3200 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306. Thank you, Einar Einarsson
