Major malfunction

Maybe I'm just a math & story problem retard, but, DANG! This was a hassle to get this card activated.

I purchased 2 cards with $100.00 on each for my kid to use on a trip.
Minors can't get these kind of cards for expenditures so the adult or parent must provide it.
Ca$h can be easily lost, so we went with the card (s).

I registered one card online, but wasn't able to get a PIN.
I called the number on the card and got caught up in the recording loop to report it as 'lost or stolen'... Of which it was neither.
If you press the 'star key' or enter the card #, it says it will deactivate the card.

Not getting anywhere with that, I called VISA. They gave me a # to META BANK.
I called the number and this nice lady checked things out.
She called the # at PayPower to listen to the recording and told me to press the star key and then 1 to proceed to a real person.

I then called and followed the instructions, finally getting through to a person who hung up when I explained the problem.
I called back, got the info to get a PIN, was told I'd be transferred and ended up at the original recording.
I called back again, and the gal had to conference call the prompts to get the PIN set up. She could not eliminate the conference call, so we had to talk between gaps in the recording to make sure everything was correct.
All of the people I talked to sounded as if English was their second language. Difficult to communicate with.

The results?
You can only register ONE CARD with PayPower.
You should set up a PIN so you can use it at an ATM.
The card says DEBIT but you should use it as CREDIT unless you want ca$h from an ATM.
The 2nd card I have is to be used up, as CREDIT only, then not used again, because I already have a card registered, now with a PIN.

I will need to go today to make sure the cards are working properly before the kid takes the trip.

I would not use this kind of card at all if it could be avoided.
I would not use PayPower period.
