Blocking of account

I have been using a hotmail e-mail id "mkchaturvedi@hotmail.com". For the past more than 10 years. There are hundreds of people who know this id. I do all my business correspondence on this id.

One fine day there is notification on the screen that my account has been blocked. No specific reason is given. But there are several possible reasons.

I approach the customer support of the hot mail. They 15 days during which time ask several questions relating to the registration i had made 10 years ago. I answer them on the basis of my memory. They declare the information as incorrect. I furnish additional information. It does not satisfy them.

Whatever the problems of the hotmail service. There could be easier ways of establishing whether i am the right owner of the account or not. If the hotmail does have to block my account there is a more civilised way of doing it: they could give me notice of, say 15 days during which time i could stop people from sending me mails on the hotmail id.

What the hotmail service has done to me is very crude & callous since, apart from the agony they have caused me, i do not know if i am losing business & suffering financial loss
