Made my holiday package expired 6 months before deadline

I booked a holiday package from caribbean cruise under their promotional offer on 19-Sep. I was told that the vacation is valid for 2 years (until 19-Sep). I called them up today to book my tickets and they are saying that the package is expired as it is valid only fr 18 months. The customer care was very rude and did not even listen to me. I am very frustrated and want to teach such fraud companies a lesson. Please let me know the process to take the legal action against them.
