Sara Howe SPG
Work at Home Scam

Shops, Products, Services

I was contacted by "Sara Howe" about a job opportunity. She claimed to see my resume online and after an online interview she offered me a position to do data entry from home. She said that the company would pay for all supplies needed to do the work. I was sent a check via UPS and told to deposit it into my account. The day after, I was told to withdraw almost all of it and wire it to their "vendor" in CT. They would then send me the supplies that I needed. After hearing about scams like this, I told them I would not wire any funds until I had heard from my bank that the check did indeed clear. We went back and forth about that, but I wouldn't budge. Five days later, the check that they sent to me was returned to my bank due to insufficient funds. If I would have done what they told me to do, I would be out $1700.00.
