Can't search most county records scam alert

Integra Scan will bring up the name of the person you are about to pay for them to conduct a search on. They will show you an exhaustive list of past or present residences to prove that they have done their homework and so that you can be sure you are searching the correct person. They then bring you to a page to select which type of report you wish to order - ranging from $20-$50. They have a statement there stating that they highly "recommend" the $50 report, which should contain anything & everything you would want to know or would need to know. Next, you enter your credit card and this is where you get SCAMMED.

They conduct their "search" and provide their report. The problem here is this - no where before placing their order (except for at the very end of the "terms and conditions in yet another link you must select to view" do they tell you that OOPS, here might be a problem. The person you wish to search appears to have resided in XXX county almost their entire lives.inTEGRA SCAN does not have acces to the XXX county criminal records.

You may wish to order your report somewhere else - NO, they never tell you this and they likely hope you just don't notice. You receive your report and all looks clear... Then on the last page it contains a list of all of the COUNTY COURT records searched and OOPS again, the county that appears most on our report as being the county this person resides in has NOT BEEN SEARCHED.

When you contact them about this and inquire about the 100% Money Back Guarantee, you are told that OOPS, you didn't read the fine print - here is another copy of that fine print, which offers a link for you to pull up that shows the counties we CAN search. Not our fault. "We are sorry you overlooked this information".

Here is the bottom line - IF Integra Scan didn't have an interest in or expect to gain anything from this SCAM of failing to disclose and being a very incomplete background check service, they would provide a very clear notice on the page that provides the options of how much you want to spend on a report. This notice would plainly tell the customer ordering the report that their results will be LIMITED, and in FACT INCOMPLETE because they are unable to search XXX county, which appears to be a current or prior county of residence for person being searched! Then it is up to the customer if they want to continue or not and guess what, I am certain that MANY customers will take their business to another site that CAN search XXX county.

Here is the issue I have with this. My husband has had a very hard time finding a job. For reasons unknown to us, he gets right to the end and then gets turned down despite his over-qualifications. He has even applied for small, meaningless jobs just to get a job. We cannot figure out what is going wrong and it seems that there might be SOMETHING coming up in this background check that employers are running but since my husband does not have a criminal record, we can't understand it.

We decided to run our own and tried to find the most detailed report available so that we could be sure that we covered everything and anything a potential employer may find... We went to Integra Scan. We ran the report and the problem is that even though my husband has lived in XXX county for almost his entire adult life, Integra Scan did not search this county. We have therefore just WASTED $50 on what was believed to be the most exhaustive report/search one can obtain - for absolutely nothing. For a family looking for employment, this HURTS.
