Trucking.com (tdc for short) is a carrier with one truck, who finds all of his loads thru brokers who posted freight available on internet frt matching services, ex. Dat/ifs, get loaded.com and the internet truck stop.

They agree to haul a load for a set amount with the broker, then they send their only truck to make the pick up. But, instead of hauling the load to its destination, the bring it back to their warehouse in southampton, nj.

They off load the freight onto their dock. Then they go back to the computer and search for a carrier who posted an available truck in the area. When they find a carrier in the area, they contact the carrier identifying themselves as far east shippers, who has a load for their truck.

Once the new carrier agrees to haul the load, they receive rate confirmation showing a fake shipper and address, but when the carriers driver calls far east for dispatch, tdc/far east gives him directions to a different place, their own warehouse.

They give the driver a new set of bills that they prepaired, showing a fake shipper name and a vague frt description. The original bills from the shipper where kept by tdc/far east who then forge a delivery signature on them and submit them with an invoice to their broker and get paid.

So, tdc/far east made $975 for going thirty miles, the new carrier who agreed to haul the load for far east for $1200 and went 1000 miles gets scammed on payment, tdc/far east has no intention of paying the new carrier.
