Scam, ripoff, does not deliver on promises

This company is horrible. My wife shipped a box to Sao Paulo April 3 for a cost of $240, she included an additional $50 for insurance on the box. If the box was not delivered to address in Sao Paulo within 180 days she would receive $1000 in return. It has almost been one year (Febraury 25) the company refuses to speak with us regarding the box or the insurance my wife bought for the box. She has gone round and round with the rude people working at Brasil Courier with no results. Sergio (office manager) never returns phone calls. My feeling at this point is there was no insurance on the box, the $50 was a way fort the company to make additional money. They have no intention in returning the money ($1,000) that is in the contract. This company is a scam, stay far away from these people..
