Beware! Rip off!
I am an avid antique collector over 30 years. I deal with MANY other dealers and I have to say I am very disappointed with Matildas! Once a month they open their barn doors to a barrage of buyers. Shoving, pulling and yes, taking the item that you have set your heart on and taking it right in front of you, feels like a bargain basement sale!!! If you pick up the items you are looking at the employees RUSH over, take it out of your hands and up to the front telling you to pick it up once you are ready to buy it.
All this is fine but, what bothers me is they wrap it up pressure you to buy it and you really haven't had the time to truly inspect it! I can't tell you how many times that this has happened to me and to my fellow dealers. Most of the time we get back to our shops, UNWRAP the item and realize it is broken or not what we thought it was all due to the fact that it was pulled out of our hands before we had time to inspect it. Not happy with the whole experience: (Feels like we are getting ripped off!
