RAC Fair Debt Collection Practices Act Violations

I have had an account with Rent-A-Center for about a year. While their merchandise is way overpriced and their illegal collection practices are legendary I had no real option at the time. I have been waiting to have time to cancel this account and have them pick up the washer but have been very busy at work and do not have time to meet them so I have been paying monthly for now. I did not make my monthly payment this month (due last Sat). Two of their employees showed up at my house today playing tough guys. My wife told them I was not home when she answered the door. They called the strore and made them speak to the manager. She told all parties she was not on the account and had nothing to do with it. All parties spoke with her about my account. I called them later and asked what the story was and they didn't even deny it. I recorded the conversation as I was in a single party consent state as are they. When I told the manager the call was recorded I thought he would choke. He could not get off the phone fast enough at that point. He forgot all about asking for the payment. I will be posting the link to the phone call later tonight when I have time. I cannot wait to use Rent-A-Center pics and do a story board with the recording and post it to youtube.
