Lied, over charged, made husband carry own furniture up stairs

The driver arrived late on the 31st at 6pm, only to discover that the 18 wheeler could not make the turn out of the complex. He said I was "lucky" there was another truck he could use instead the next day - otherwise we would be charged extra for the items being carried further than 50 feet.

He arrived at noon the next day (which, I might add, spoiled our plans for our last weekend in Atlanta) with 2 people who were not affiliated with Supreme Van Lines: 1 Mexican day laborer from the barrio down the street who smelled like POO, and the driver's girlfriend.

When I asked for a weigh slip before the truck was loaded he did not have one and would not go get one.

I mentioned that I should receive a discount since I had 20 3.0 cubic boxes rather than 20 6.0 cubic boxes. He said because I added 2 wardrobe boxes, it worked out the same (I did not feel I could challenge his faulty math because he held my possessions).

I paid $48 for tape to have the furniture wrapped in blankets. I feel I should have been told in advance of this charge.

The driver required some items to be in boxes, such as the vacuum and plastic bins - so I asked if I could buy a couple boxes - he brought over the boxes and put the stuff in - which resulted in my being charged $50 rather than $16 for borrowing the 2 boxes.

Upon arrival in Florida, the driver said "You said you had no stairs". I never said that. I even told Supreme Van Lines in advance that I had stairs. His girlfriend confirmed that she never heard him ask us either. The driver said that since he had no helper that my husband would have to help him carry all the heavy stuff up - like the couch, TV armoire and book shelves. (What is the point of paying for a mover then?)
