Denver-based Mountain recruiting practices under false pretenses

Shops, Products, Services

BE ADVISED of the unethical sales recruiting practices
this firm uses to recruit sales people to sell their services. This
firm specializes in helping the unemployed locate a career in
their own industry or another industry. As a part of their recruiting
practices they will ask you to take a 218 question test prior to making an offer which will give you a comprehensive understanding of their services. As part of this lengthy and time consuming test
(prior to being hired in good faith mind you) they reveal that a
minimum of 200 candidates apply for every job opening in the market
place. They inform you that they only have 10 to 12 openings for the
next orientation class and that you either have been selected to join
this class or, you can join the next orientation class (when ever that
is). WHAT...?! Let me simplify the ethical issue here. Based on their
very own training they ask 200 people to take a very lengthy and time
consuming test before there is an offer and they tell 190
unemployed people, "Sorry you spent all those hours of your valuable
time to learn all about how we can really supercharge your career search
but you are not invited to our limited orientation class. You are
invited you to our next orientation class." Come on man! UNETHICAL!
If Mr isn't doing this it looks like he could use this as an
unethical recruiting schema in an attempt to passively sell their career
search services to the 190 unemployed (that didn't make the first cut
on this orientation class). I certainly hope Mr the CEO
of this company has the professional decency to adjust the current
recruiting practices to, at a minimum have enough respect for peoples
time to have them test after an offer is made.
