I too am angry. I got this phone at a representative at a flea market. I was so excited. It sounded so good, that I signed up for a 2 year contract, with a free phone. I got two phones, one for my son, a 100 min, $19.99 contract and mine a 400 min $39,99 contract. Activation was on first bill. I understood that. But my phone was never activated for 30 days. My sons was activated immediately.

After call in worldcom and explaining this, they finally got it activated. At that time I requested a local phone number because the one give me on both phones was long distance when I dialed out. I requested a phone number change which was honored. However, I have been billed since day one for the old number and the new number.

I have tried numerous times to contact worldcom, but put on hold for hours at a time. I finally got frustrated and wrote them what the new number should be. I got a bill that not only had the old numbers on it, but switched the $19.99 100min plan to 400 min at $39.99.

Every time I would talk to someone, I would be told this would be taken care of. I felt so confident, until I received the following bill, with constant late fees and additional charges that didn't make sense. I even sent a payment along with a letter to the nederland Tx address. No response or nothing.

The bills are so complicated, that who knows what month these are for. My son died in September and even sent them the death certificate. They had no regard for the problems I have encountered or regard for my sons death. I was so upset, that I wanted to cry. We had to take a loan out as it was for his funeral, because it was a suicide.

I finally got through and they said I owed $98.00 and that my phone would be disconnected within 24 hours. It wasnt. It was about 2 weeks before finally disconnecting them. I wanted both of these phones disconnected. When I went into the computer to find a phone number for Nederland Tx, there was no listing whatsoever. I was then more furious than ever, because that check had not been cleared. I even wrote, "Payment enclosed" on envelope so they wouldn't throw it out.

Please help in this matter. There has got to be someone out there that can help all of us in this worldwide scam. I now owe, $200.00 and some odd cents on one account and $337. Oo on the other. Anyone else that is getting some kind of help please write me at audrey61@bellsouth.net. Thank you. The funny thing is I signed up for Cingular and my phone said "Cingular" when I turned it on. But the bill said Worldcom Wireless. I was so pissed off.
