Doan Law Group Unethical, Ripping off the already broke consume

I wrote this because I want other consumers to know to watch out for these Bankruptcy Attorneys who ACT as if they provide "Legal Services" but in fact, they hire sales people to sell you instead of educate you on your specific situation. This firm was more than willing to have me come in and meet with an 'Attorney', problem was when I got there, all I was able to talk to was a former loan guy who was hired to "sell" bankruptcy. He told me I was a Chapter 7 client within minutes of meeting. I thought it was odd that a non-attorney was telling me what I was approved for, but regardless I continued through the meeting and was told i could pay the retainer (over $ which I found out is high) and then get to talk to an Attorney about my situation. I paid the retainer. I have never been through bankruptcy before so I was led to believe the process was to pay and then get the chance to talk with a professional Attorney and then decide whether or not I would move forward. I left the meeting feeling ok that I would get a meeting and then decide if I was ready to move forward. GUESS WHAT? I paid over $2000 to get counseled by a non-attorney!!! Never talked to an Attorney and eventually my situation turned around so I didn't need bankruptcy, BUT Doan Law wouldn't refund any money even though they never provided any legal service. I asked several times to speak to Mr. Doan, (you would figure with 8 of them, 1 could get on the phone!) to resolve this situation. Sadly and again, no attorney contact was allowed, only support staff responding. Don't be fooled, if you don't get to meet with an Attorney, don't waste your time or cut a check to a non-attorney. Doan Law wasted my money and time, don't let it happen to you.
