Tried to Lie her way out of her Scam. Very Poor Legal representation. Put her clients at risk for her lack of proper legal work

I was in support for our community having a homeowners association. Several of us residents contacted Mrs. Shirley Watson to get her help with forming one. To make a 4 year long story short. Several residents questioned the way she formed the HOA by attaching and notarizing their signature to the amendment we had her draft to include an HOA. Mrs. Watson assured us supporters that her actions were valid and legal, we could move forward with the HoA. So we sent out fee notices to all the residents. A few paid but over half did not and several chose to seek help from another attorney. It is my understanding through the court documents that this attorney reviewed how she attempted to form the HoA. He advised her in his legal opinion he could not find any laws that supported her claims that she could attach signatures collected two years prior that were intended for a different use. Also that she could notarized these signatures to this document with out the presents and knowledge of the homeowners whos signature she was using to file this to their property of record. Mrs. Watson claimed as she was only notarizing the witnesses signatures not the property owners. But Mrs. Watson continued to tell us supporters that is was all legal and we had every legal right to collect fees from the property owners. Well the HoA was taken to court and it was found that Mrs. Watson Legal work was not legal at all. The document was never valid and we legally never had a valid HOA to collect a dime from the property owners. And we certainly could not file liens to collect fees. Some of the supports are still believing in this lady and are appealling the courts ruling but I for one do not and feel Mrs. Watson was trying to run a scam on all of us. It was a win win for her, we would use her services to collect the liens. But we would be the ones on the hook for lawsuits from the property owners. To the homeowners that brought this to others attention from the beginning, I am truly sorry that I supported Mrs. Watson's efforts. That in the end made neighbors become enemies and stopped all efforts of neighbors trying to better our communities appearance. Mrs. Watson is a train reck just waiting to happen to you if you let her.
