There is a company on eBay called online_instruments that will build you a guitar for under $300.00 shipping included and you get to select your own neck, body/color and hardware from their large selection! I got a cheap tremolo, some knobs and later I bought a "custom" guitar! These guys rock for the broke musician! The owner and the guy who builds the guitars is who you get on the phone too.
