No Viable Job Leads and an Auto-Renew Feature you won't noticed till it's too late New York

Shops, Products, Services

Last May when my job was eliminated, I immediately started online searches and received an email from TheLadders (SalesLadders) claiming to list jobs in the $100K range. I had received severance pay, so I decided to order a premium membership for $180.
Over the past year I received email alerts and looked at those of interest to me, but they turned out either to be a poor match, a listing I had seen on another web site (free), or an expired listing. I applied to several listings and received 1 call in response over the year.
I got another job, so I began to ignore the emails. I was checking my credit card transactions and saw a charge of $180 from TheLadders, and flipped out. I did not remember getting a renewal notice, and went to the website and saw their non-renew policy. You actually have to chose not to auto-renew under your Settings.
I did web searches and found multiple complaints about TheLadders on several sites, some dating back to 2006. Anyhow, I sent TheLadders several emails and put them on notice that I would send a complaint to the New York State Attorney General's office with a copy to the Florida AG, plus the FBI's department for internet fraud.
Believe it or not, I found an email response today that they were going to credit my credit card. I told them if I find this is true, I will not submit the complaints. However, Caveat Emptor (job seeker).
