They ripped my carpet while installing cable tv

Today, they came out to install cable tv in a home we recently purchased & completely remodeled the inside of. We paid for very nice carpet that would last us and LOVED the carpet. Well shortly after the installer had left, we were having my daughters birthday and noticed the carpet had a nearly 6 foot long rip in it.
Well I looked & the rip started near the hole he drilled to install the cable & my husband being a professional window installer said he drilled & pulled the cord to hard. Well we had our carpet installer come out & he said it was ruined as it would un ravel (sp?) worse when I vacuum it would destroy the entire carpet. So I have been in contact with dish all day as we paid good hard earned money for this carpet to have some body come in and ruin it in an hours time. (On my daughters birthday of all days... Awful awful service, so I guess if you choose to have them install your cable stand there litterally right behind them & make sure they don't ruin your home!!!
